Frequently Asked Questions

What does R/A do?
We provide sourcing /vetting along with detailed due diligence of products and services. We are not part time assistants, but professional experienced business people know how to perform detailed research to find the best of the best in suppliers, vendors or contractors.

2) Are we consultants?
No, we do not consult, advise, or coach. These usually take significant time for the business owner and carry a higher expense. We focus on what you buy, how you select a service or product and how to reduce the time needed to find the best of the best for your company.

3) What is the process?
It is A-B-C
A)  We first engage with you in a detailed conversation to determine exactly what you are looking for and we ask questions, lots and lots of questions.
B) We provide an engagement agreement that will clarify the conversation and expectations, along with the time and fees.
C) We provide a report listing all of the agreement parameters and provide a minimum of three options for you. SPECIAL NOTE; We do not do recommendations or referrals or accept any remuneration for the reported potential vendors or suppliers.

4) What happens then?
Once Richard Assists has provided the final report, you can then select the one that best meets your needs.

5) How do I see results?
Results occurs once you take the time to chat with one or all of the sources found.  

6) How long does this take?
Most projects are completed within six to eight days, depending on the complexity of what the client is looking for.

7) What are the fees?
Richard Assists fees are based on complexity of the project. You will be given an agreement starting time, requirements and results. 

8) Do we provide references?
No, our clients require and we adhere to confidentiality agreements to protect them and the findings of a project. This is entered into during the discussion stages of an engagement. You can find previous projects on the website.

9) How do I start?
Contact R/A and speak with one of our directors to see that what we do is a good fit. We respect your time and value ours as well. 

10) What happens then?
We will create the second stage which will include the project title and description, scope of work, and the expected results, along with anticipated fees.  

11) Do I have any say in the process?
We encourage our clients to stay involved and in contact. We do not overwhelm the client with constant meetings, reports, emails, or calls. We believe in what we do and can do it well.

12) Can I request a change?
Yes, depending on the request. If there is a change to the direction of the original agreement, then an addendum is created in writing. If this is a significant change that effects the agreement timeline, this will be passed along to the client.

13) What if we are not satisfied?
R/A takes great care in the creation of the project outline. We are in constant, as necessary, communication with a client as the project progresses. If at the end of the project and presentation of the report there is anything that is not been addressed or missed, we will make it right.

14) What do I need to start?
A conversation and a realization for the need to ask for help. Most businesses think they have everything under control. They do not. Every person needs help once in while. Start with finding out what area of your business is in need and attack that first. R/A does not do it all, “right now”. We guide you through a process and come up with solutions.
