DIRECTORS

Become a Director: business professionals who love sharing their knowledge with clients.

What is a Richard Assists Director?
Would you like to set your own hours? Earn as much as you want? Tap into your well of experience to guide the success of other business owners?

Richard Assists LLC. has the place for you!

As a Richard Assists Director you will bring years of knowledge to the table. You may have started a business from scratch. You may have expanded a business, overseen a company for years (or several companies). You know the ins and outs of business operations.

Directors understand the challenges faced by business owners because they’ve "been there done that".

A Richard Assists Director isn’t a counselor, consultant, advisor, or coach. They engage in guidance—making business processes easier for clients. As a director you’ll assist in planning on how to achieve objectives. Most importantly, you’ll remain NEUTRAL.You present the information, rather than taking a position in the discussion.

Directors are excellent communicators. They have experience in a specific industry or several industries. They understand the language of business, manufacturing, retail, industry…or their area of expertise. They know how to solve problems. They’re straight shooters. They create value for their clients.

Becoming a director is a great add-on career for insurance agents, tax accountants, manufacturing representatives, and semi-retired business professionals. Or do it as an Richard Assists agent.

Directors bring experience to the table. In addition to a business background, you should have:
  • Strong communication skills
  • Marketing and sales experience
  • Computer proficiency, including social media and eCommerce
  • Commitment to receive training and ongoing support

Work flexible hours and earn a good income. Contact Richard Assists today!

What Does a Director Do in a Client engagement?
You’ll meet with a prospective client, listen to the issues, work to define the problem, and devise a set of parameters. You’ll rely on your wealth of business expertise to set the timeline to accomplish the research based on the parameters written in an engagement. The engagement then goes to Richard Assists administration for review and support.

A sample engagement may be:
A client hasn’t had time to find a replacement accounting firm - a relatively simple and straightforward issue. The Richard Assists Director listens carefully to what the client is looking for. Our mantra here is 70% listening and 30% talking.
From this conversation a list of parameters is made.
  • Clients wants a local accounting firm
  • One that does tax and accounting work
  • Doesn’t charge more than $X per hour
  • Can complete monthly statements within 5 workdays
  • Is expert in Quick books
The parameters are defined in the engagement letter, and the director agrees to find three options meeting the parameters within the specified timeline. The director will conduct research and vetting of potential vendors meeting the parameters set by the client. They will then draft a report identifying each potential accounting firm and provides the details of their findings to the client.

Becoming a Director

Our Directors complete an on boarding process that includes background, reference and credit checks. There is a fee of $450 to conduct these.  Once this has been completed, you’ll receive the director’s manual to help you start. Also, there will be a one on one training to help you understand more details of what is to be a director.

Compensation for directors is based on a percentage of the engagement agreement. Directors receive between 10 to 40% of the engagement.
The average engagement is $2,500.

There is a monthly marketing fee of $75.00 requested to help support additional efforts through LinkedIn, email campaigns and other promotions. All directors are listed on the website along with their bio and photo. In the listing, you will be allowed to place your profile from other social media and websites you may have.

All engagements are conducted through Richard Assists, LLC.

Directors work as independent contractors under the Richard Assists brand, giving you total freedom to work when and how you want. This also does not restrict you from other business opportunities you are involved in.
