What Does an Agent Do in a Client engagement?
You’ll meet with a prospective client, listen to the issues, work to define the need, and devise a set of parameters. You’ll rely on your wealth of expertise to set the timeline to accomplish the research based on the parameters written in an engagement. The engagement then goes to Richard Assists administration for review and support.

A sample engagement may be:
A client hasn’t had time to find a replacement accounting firm - a relatively simple and straightforward issue. The Richard Assists Agent listens carefully to what the client is looking for. Our mantra here is 70% listening and 30% talking.
From this conversation a list of parameters is made.
  • Clients wants a local accounting firm
  • One that does tax and accounting work
  • Doesn’t charge more than $X per hour
  • Can complete monthly statements within 5 workdays
  • Is expert in Quick books
The parameters are defined in the engagement letter, and the agent agrees to find three options meeting the parameters within the specified timeline. The director will conduct research and vetting of potential vendors meeting the parameters set by the client. They will then draft a report identifying each potential accounting firm and provides the details of their findings to the client.
